Amanda Bradbury Wildlife Artist and Illustrator
Amanda Bradbury is a wildlife artist based in Gloucestershire. Her acrylic paintings celebrate the colour, shape and form in nature, combining her love of landscapes and her passion for wildlife.
Underlying Amanda’s interpretation of form and colour is a real appreciation and knowledge of wildlife and their natural habitats, honed from a background in both art and natural sciences.
Here's a painting I did from field sketches
drawn on the shores of the Severn estuary
at Arlingham, by the Old Passage Inn.
The sky was pretty stormy and dramatic offering a spattering of rain on my sketch book!
Limited edition prints of all original paintings are available:
High quality giclee prints produced on 310gsm paper and signed by the artist.
Available as 'unmounted' or 'mounted'.
I was very excited to be commissioned to paint this William & Mary house.
It was challenging too, as it was set on a very steep hill and had a housing estate above, hence the lack of skyline.
To get the viewpoint I wanted, and to see its beautiful terraced garden behind, I challenged a friend to fly their drone to take reference photos for me to draw the desired composition.
The Goldfinches were added for drama and to compliment the colours of the house.
